If you’ve been following this blog since its fledgling blogspot days, you might remember me mentioning I have a thing for redheads. I’ve always secretly wished for red hair & freckles, so I’m pretty excited about having 3 beautiful ginger-haired brides on the books for next year. Sarah is one of them…and let me tell ya, she’s a dream to photograph. Big blue eyes & an infectious laugh that makes you feel like you know her even if you’ve just met. She has found the perfect partner in Andy. He has honest eyes & a sweet, boyish cackle that I heard throughout our shoot. Their love for each other drew me in for the entire 2 hours we were running around this field. I’m counting down the days to their Charleston wedding in April…

Here’s a peek into their sweet connection:

Every wedding I’ve shot has a place in my heart, but this one is particularly special to me. I’ve known Matt since he was a kid. His sister is one of my oldest & dearest friends, and I spent the better part of my high-school years sneaking out of their parents house ( only to get caught, of course.. ;) There’s a soul connection that exists within this family that’s hard to put into words. They live life with their arms wide open, unafraid to fall, and I love them for it. The incredible heart Matt had as a kid has only grown bigger through the years. He is a loving son, supportive brother & now husband to one of the most amazing gals I’ve ever had in front of my lens. Elizabeth shares Matt’s passion for life, and their wedding day could not have been a more honest reflection of who they are as a couple. It was beautifully crafted, heartfelt, and most of all..sincere. There’s no doubt in my mind that they found their soul mate in each other. I’m just grateful I was there to see it all come together. Thanks to the Jalazo & Routh families for having me…lots of love to you all.

  22. Amazing, Amazing!!! Your skills are nuts, Kellie. Love you Matt & Elizabeth!

  23. Beautiful work as usual. I love all those little details. They work so perfectly together.

  24. I’m crying AGAIN, I can’t get enough of this Soul Filling love, from you that shows in the photos, from everyone of us watching Matt and Elizabeth.

When I met Laura & Mike for the first time, we just clicked. They have that old-soul kind of love that’s so easy to capture. Laura is beautiful inside & out and instantly reminded me of one of my best friends from college. She’s sassy, fun & quick to laugh. Mike has a rugged sweetness & Laura brings out the kid in him. When Laura called the morning of this shoot to ask about bringing their 4 dogs along, ( not gonna lie ) I freaked a little. I could tell it was important to her to have the whole ‘family’ in these images, but had never shot more than 2 pups at a time before. How the heck was I going to get FOUR dogs to sit..or not sit?! Turns out, we didn’t worry about them sitting or not sitting….we just went with it. And in all of its glorious chaos, I adore this session. At one point I looked through the lens to find a doggie tongue greeting me :)

Here’s a peek into the world of Laura & Mike….
