I’ve been trying to write this post for a week & nothing seems quite worthy of these two…so here goes:
This session was a gift from one sister to another. It was a form of healing, and a tribute of sorts. Tricia lost her fiance Lin in a car accident last year, and their sweet pup, Kobe was a gift from him. He’s so much more than a pet…he’s family.
This is my new favorite family session…. :)

Before we unleash the blog madness from our last 2 weeks of non-stop shooting, I have some fun news to share. Two of my fellow Photogirls have just launched exciting new projects that you guys should definitely check out!! This wedding had the whole package. An incredible couple, adorable family, gorgeous details, and bridesmaids that weren’t afraid to get DOWN. I love that. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every single second of my time with Cassie, Gaines & their families. Can we do it all again guys?! I’m ready when you are :)

Oh My Goodness Kellie! You and Leah have made my life – seriously I feel like I just relived the entire weekend. In true Markham/Sturdivant fashion, the more the better! I know this had to have taken you such a long time – I so thank you for that. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for capturing the most fun I’ve ever had on camera. I will truly treasure these for the rest of my life. You are simply amazing. LOTS OF LOVE!

Wow Kellie, your photos always seem to take my breath away…I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what it is (aside from the obvious – that they’re gorgeous photos!)…I think it’s that the way you capture everything makes me (and I imagine everyone else!) feel so connected to that wedding, those people, the emotion. Kellie, it has taken me a while to post a comment because the words escape me to express my appreciation and gratitude. You truly have captured the resilience, strength, and beauty that encompasses my sister. Kobe is so much more than a dog. He encompasses the spirit of a person that left this world far too soon.
